The superb collection of Breitling for Bentley watches will see a new addition at Baselworld a little later this month, released to coincide with the tenth anniversary of Breitling’s association with Bentley.
The Breitling for Bentley Light Body Midnight Carbon has a light but strong all-black titanium case coated with a scratch-resistant carbon-based treatment. Inside the watch is Breitling’s COSC-certified 25B calibre movement.
The dial features two of Breitling’s trademarks – its 30-second chronograph and the variable tachymeter with scarlet red indications. The chrono system is based on a 1926 Breitling patent and provides for easy reading to an 1/8th of a second. Also unique to the Midnight Carbon is a variable tachometer: it’s activated via the rotating pinion bezel and can calculate average speed regardless of how much time has passed.
The watch’s rubber strap is adorned with the same knurled pattern as Bentley’s famous radiator grilles. The watch, which Breitling has described as “ultra light, ultra sporty”, has been limited to 1,000 pieces.
