French watch manufacturer Paris France Montres has launched a new brand of unisex watches which take their design inspiration from the bright colours of fruit.
The brand is called Thirsty Watch and is launching with a selection of 12 colours of watches matched to fruits, which include exotic varieties such as Starfruit, Dragon fruit, Wheatgrass, Blueberry, Cherry and many more.
Thirsty Watch will exhibit at BaselWorld this year and has already signed up Sussex based Edox distributor Ferndale UK to represent the brand in the UK. It has also signed distributors in the UAE, Lebanon, Japan, Greece, Spain and France.
The 42mm watches are made from polycarbonate with soft and comfortable silicone straps. The crown is at the 4 o’ clock position, divers watch style, with a steel crown and a unidirectional graduated bezel. The movement is a reliable quartz Miyota 2315 three hander with date, the same movement used to power many Citizen watches. Each watch comes packaged inside its own drink bottle. The watches will retail for €89 (£72).
David Attia, CEO of Paris France Montres, said that he created the new brand in homage to his father and the company’s founder René Attias, who was a fan of coloured watches in the 1980s.
