You may or may not admire Hublot as a watch, but you can’t help but admire the way they try to do things differently as a brand. BIG BANG”, the world‟s first Hublot pop-up store has just been unveiled at the main atrium of Paragon Shopping Mall in the heart of Orchard Road, Singapore. Collaborating with leading Singapore design extraordinaire, Mr. Chris Lee of Asylum, the pop-up store is a colossal structure that fuses art and functionality, inspiring a design that pulsates with the energy of Hublot. Hublot’s pop-up store is replete with thousands of faceted black pyramidal shapes that glint like the high-tech materials used in the fine Swiss manufacture’s suite of timepieces.
The Hublot pop-up store will run for ten days from 14 September through to 23 September to coincide with the Singapore Formula One Grand Prix and will showcase for the first time in Singapore the most opulent range of Hublot‟s prized watches, an exhibit totalling a value of around US$20 million.
On display will be the “royal million trio”: the famous US$5 Million Big Bang, billed as the most expensive timepiece in the world, as well companion stunners like the $1.2 Million Big Bang and Baby Million Bang.
A Hublot Strap Bar has also been set up to for existing Hublot owners to individualise their timepieces, the first time Hublot owners will be able to view their choice of straps from a selection of over 150 different styles and colours.
An additional two-year international warranty will be offered for all Hublot watch purchases during the period of the pop-up store. A comprehensive range of Hublot-inspired lifestyle gear like the All Black Carbon Fibre Bicycle, All Black Skis and All Black Carbon Fibre Arm Chair will also be on show.
Mr Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO of Hublot commented: “As the Official Watch of the FIA Formula One Grand Prix, Hublot is set to develop and present one of the most inspiring and novel projects in a form of a pop-up store in a highly sophisticated country like Singapore to kick off the Singapore Formula One Grand Prix. We hope that the celebrated Hublot pop-up store will not only add a unique shopping experience to the exciting night race in Singapore, it will also be a platform to unite all Hublot and Formula One fans from all over the world to meet in one place.”
