Citizen’s Christmas commuter campaign

Over the Christmas period there’s something new to gaze at as you ride the long windy, gritty London Underground escalators to work. Citizen is continuing its Christmas push with advertising across London Underground stations and the tube posters are destined to be seen by millions of commuters.

Citizen is following up on the successful run of a similar London Underground campaign from last year and are reportedly delighted to be back in an underground station near you.

The ads will be strategically grouped in rows of six and will be located at 24 locations, including Kings Cross, Baker Street and Marble Arch. They will feature two watches: the gents’ Red Arrows Skyhawk A.T., a radio controlled world time model, and the ladies’ Ciena Diamond model, set with 20 diamonds.

The campaign will feature a number of Citizen’s brand ambassadors, including The Red Arrows, Victoria Azarenka, Kevin Pietersen and Paula Creamer.

Citizen is also running an ad on Facebook to get visitors to ‘like’ its page by offering them the chance to win a watch by sending a text to the brand.

Mark Robinson, Brand Director for Citizen Watch UK declared: “We are really excited to have secured even more prime tube stations than last year – having six ads in a row will drive brand awareness and ensure maximum exposure. This is crucial at such a key trading period for our retailers.”

In addition to Underground station posters, digital billboards showing Citizen watches will be on display at shopping malls across the UK.

Citizen Eco-Drive watches can recharge themselves with any kind of light be it natural or artificial without a need for a battery. You can learn more about them from this video.
