TechnoMarine is the dynamic Geneva based watch brand known for timepieces that mix a playful attitude with strong design.
Born in St. Tropez
TechnoMarine’s design philosophy is that watches should be cool, fun and user-friendly. The brand draws its inspiration from their birthplace – the famed seaside resort, St.Tropez, and the watches certainly reflect a cool sophisticated South of France vibe.
Summer after summer, year after year, the former Roman colony whose name has become a byword for sun-soaked shores and Champagne-soaked revelry swells with the pleasure seekers, the rich, the super-rich and the flesh-and-blood incarnations of characters usually seen only on magazine covers and shareholder reports. It’s here that TechnoMarine infuses elements of fun into all their watches and have even risked putting diamonds on a diving chronograph.
New TechnoMarine Cruise Sport Rave
The new Technomarine watch is offered in two variations: one with an orange and black dial and bezel and the other in blue and black.
The watch is designed for men, and comes in an unmissable 45 millimetre case, and delivers a handful of useful functions. In addition to central hours and minutes, the wearer can read time from 24-hour counter, positioned at 3 o’clock. Small seconds sub-dial dominates the left portion of the dial and a discreet date indication is placed just above 6 o’clock.
Water resistant to 200m
TechnoMarine Cruise Sport Rave is water resistant to 200 metres which puts it in the entry level class. This means you can take this watch whenever you plan to have some good times near the sea, or even take part in some serious water sports.
However, the watch is not a true diver so even though it features a coloured rotating unidirectional aluminum ring on the bezel, in the style of true diver’s watches you won’t use this bezel to determine how many minutes of air are left in your tank.
Instantly interchangeable
The best feature of TechnoMarine watches are their interchangeability. All of the Cruise Sport models are made with interchangeable coloured and black covers and interchangeable coloured, black and bi-colored Rave silicone straps. So you can easily change your watch to suit your clothes or your mood.
The Cruise Sport Rave is powered by a high quality Swiss Ronda quartz chronograph movement, and is likely to retail at around $450, but you won’t be able to slip the new models on your tanned wrist until their official launch in October 2011.
