Holler launches Jay-Z collection

Up and coming British watch brand Holler has released two new timepieces from its popular Crazies collection. The new watches feature the album artwork from hip hop legend Jay-Z’s, Black Album.

The Jay-Z watches were recently showcased at the UK’s leading jewellery trade event, The Jewellery Show, which was held at the NEC in Birmingham between the 3rd and 7th February. Holler also used the event to launch several other watches, the most notable being its Tyson watch, the dial of which is inspired by a number of the famous boxers tattoos. Also on display was a square shaped watch that has been designed to look like a record player.

These watches, and similar designs are very much what the brand is all about. According to its website, Holler takes its main inspiration from the black and urban music scene, as well as being influenced by soul stories, colours and styles.

Their funky watch designs (if you like that kind of thing) wouldn’t look out of play on the set of The Only Way is Essex, the star of which, Lauren Pope, has just become one Holler’s brand ambassadors. This gives you some indication of who Holler’s watches are aimed at.

Holler Brand Ambassadors

As well as Mike Tyson, Holler’s other brand ambassadors are a diverse group made up of a variety of retired sportsmen, reality TV stars and a Premier League football team. Some of the names associated with the brand include Steve Stone, Matt Le Tissier, Ricky Hatton, Antony Costa, Steve Brookstein, Chico, Bobby Womack and Garry Bushell (yeah, really).

In all fairness, you could be forgiven for thinking that this was the line up for next year’s Celebrity Big Brother. Maybe Holler knows something we don’t?

The brand is also the official timekeeper of West Bromwich Albion and British Basketball League team, Newcastle Eagles.

Whilst their watches are a million miles away from ever being described as ‘luxury timepieces’, Holler is quickly establishing itself as one of the country’s leading fashion watch brands, particularly amongst the 18-25 age group.

Prices for Holler watches usually start at around £120, which means they’re a pretty good entry level timepiece for a young fashion conscious watch lover.
