Swiss watch brand Codex has just launched its Codex Identity Venus watch series. The watch has two variations – the Prestige version restricted to just 75 pieces and the Master version issued in a limited series of 100 pieces.
Each is housed in a 44 mm 18-carat rose gold case. The height is 14.65 mm. The case features screwed-in rose-gold lateral bumpers. Within the case is a back laser-cut skeleton dial. It reveals faceted rose gold-plated hands with Superluminova inserts.
The Codex Identity Venus Prestige
The Venus Prestige version sports jewel encrusted bumpers enhanced with 431 diamonds. The overall weight of jewels comes to 1 carat.
The Codex Identity Venus Master
The Codex Venus Master version, limited to 100 pieces, is housed by a case in 18-carat rose-gold and, like the Prestige, features a hand-sewn black alligator leather strap.
The Vintage Venus movement
The Vintage Venus (1950-1960) calibre 203 movement is paved with 11 jewels and embellished with a handmade guilloche, a decorative engraving technique in which a very precise intricatelly engraved pattern.
The movement provides a 38-hour power reserve and indicates the day, date and month as well as the phases of the moon. The day and month indications are shown in the exhibition windows inside a counter at 12 o’clock. It is counterbalanced by a moon-phase indicator allied with a small seconds hand.
