Open door policy: The Jaeger-LeCoultre AMVOX2 DB9 Transponder

They say a good watch can make a favourable impression, but now the new AMVOX2 Transponder watch from Jaeger Le Coultre can also open doors – albeit some very costly ones.

The AMVOX2 DB9 Transponder is a follow up edition of the successful JLC Aston Martin DBS and Rapide Transponder watch.

Press ‘Open’ on the watch and the door of your Aston Martin DB9 will unlock. Press ‘Close’ and it locks itself. To locate your DB9 just press ‘Open’ and ‘Close’ simultaneously and the headlights will flash. That’s because hidden inside the timepiece is a micro-transmitter that can lock, unlock and even locate your car whether in the multi storey or at the garden party at the manor.

Security is guaranteed since only the car itself possesses the reading protocol for the code transmitted by the watch. Moreover, only Aston Martin dealerships are entitled to authorise the timepiece to be “read” by the owner’s specific DB9 and thus to communicate with it, ensuring that security and privacy are maintained at all times.

Just don’t get mugged for your AMVOX2 piling out of the casino in Monte Carlo at 2am.

The watch is around $25,000 and of course you’ll need an Aston Martin for it to work, but if you want to live the James Bond lifestyle, well, you have to be prepared to pay the James Bond price tag.

The JLC AMVOX2 DB9 Transponder will be available exclusively through Aston Martin dealers.
