Charlie Sheen loses his watch and his cool in late night date

‘Two and a half men’ star Charlie Sheen, who recently made a blink and you’ll miss it cameo appearance in Wall Street II, Money Never Sleeps, had a sleepless and very restless night when he discovered he had mislaid his rare and hard to replace Patek Philippe Chronograph Perpetual Calendar Ref 5970P watch.

Sheen, who is an avid watch collector with a watch collection worth $6 million, was more than a little put out when he lost it as it is one of his most treasured timepieces. He trashed his room at the Plaza Hotel in New York desperately trying to find it, but to no avail. The watch has a chronograph, perpetual calendar and moon phase indicator. No doubt about it, Charlie was howling at the moon when he couldn’t find it.

Sheen, who was on a family vacation to New York with ex-wife Denise Richards and their two daughters, blamed his “date” that night, porn starlet Capri Anderson for taking the watch.

The two apparently met earlier in the night and ended up back at Sheen’s hotel room where things got a bit out of control. Drugs and alcohol are obviously implicated – and Capri is said to have quickly become afraid of the 45 year old actor before locking herself into a bathroom.

While Sheen desperately searched the room for the watch at some point the police were called to rescue a naked Christina Walsh, aka porn star Capri Anderson from the bathroom and Sheen had to go to hospital for psychiatric evaluation. This is how crazy the loss of this $170,000 gem from Patek Philippe can make you. Fortunately the watch is insured. Unfortunately the watch is no longer in production.

Next time Charlie decides on a night out, he should take his cue from fellow thespian Malcolm Hebden. Malcolm, who plays Norris Cole in the world’s longest running soap Coronation Street, is often seen wearing a Casio F91W, a practical popular and inexpensive quartz digital watch which retails at under $10.

Its two key advantages are it keeps good time and no one will want to nick it.
