Piaget opens new Bond Street boutique store

Does London’s Bond Street really need another high end fashion store? Whether it likes it or not it’s going to have one.

Just in time for Christmas, Piaget luxury watches and jewellery has found a new home for one of its boutique stores on Bond Street in London.

Richemont Group, founded by the late South African businessman Anton Rupert in 1988, is the parent company of Piaget. This is seen as a progressive new sales strategy for the Group who would like consumers to focus on just one brand (theirs) as opposed to many fighting for attention in a crowded department store.

The Piaget boutique on Bond Street will have not only the luxury of the Piaget brand, but also the luxury of shelf space to showcase the brand’s entire current collection – which ranges from sophisticated to sporty men’s pieces, as well as extremely artistic high-end jewellery watches for women.

The new store concept fulfills another important part of the sales strategy. As Richemont gear up to sell more brands online (and there are many to choose from as they own include luxury brands such as Dunhill, Vacheron Constantin, Cartier and Officine Panerai to name but a few) boutique stores will double as fulfillment centres for shipping product.

This new store gives Piaget a local distribution centre for online sales made in the UK.
