Raymond Weil Nabucco Cuore Caldo Twelve

Raymond Weil Nabucco Cuore Caldo Twelve

Nabucco Cuore Caldo was first introduced by independent watchmaker Raymond Weil at Baselworld in 2008 as a limited edition of 500 pieces. Now the family owned Swiss luxury brand has introduced Nabucco Cuore Caldo Twelve. They describe it asthe turning point between yesterday and tomorrow, between the past and the future.

Part of the revenue generated by sales of the new watch will be donated to the improvement of cancer treatment among children. The manufacture has been committed for a number of years to the fight against cancer and, through this new limited edition model, it aims to renew its support for the pediatric onco-hematology unit of the University of Geneva-Switzerland Hospital.

The Nabucco collection, which like all Raymond Weil collections takes its inspiration from music – Nabucco being a four part opera by Giuseppe Verdi – is known for its sleek design and its carefully considered proportions. The watch also explores the significance of the number twelve, the only number which is not an index.

Often ‘Arabic’ and sometimes ‘Roman’, the new Nabucco Cuore Caldo is written in letters for the first time, so as to emphasise its importance.

The watch combines steel with the lightness of titanium and carbon fibre, as well as the richness of 18 carat rose gold.

This 46mm watch features two complications – the split-seconds hand and the 42 hours power reserve indicator – in addition to the mechanical movement with bi-compax automatic winding.

Surrounded by an 18 carat rose gold tachymeter bezel, the black dial is illuminated with bright gold touches. And as an eye catching central graphic, number 12 is replaced by the word “TWELVE” in rose gold.

The screwed down titanium case has a sapphire crystal which reveals the watch’s mechanical movement complete with côtes de Genève” and fine circular graining. Sold in a special case together with a range of cuff links and pens, the Nabucco Cuore Caldo Twelve is a limited edition of just 76 pieces, ’76 representing the year Raymond Weil was founded.

The watch comes on a vulcanised rubber strap.
