With Team GB wearing Stella McCartney designed adidas sportswear, adidas is destined to be the sportswear brand of choice in Britain this summer, and the better our athletes do, the more the familiar adidas logo will be seen on a variety of clothing.
Needless to say, adidas has not been slow in picking up on the idea of developing a wide range of sportswear and accessories for the London Olympics. But perhaps one of the coolest and hardest to get Adidas items to own this summer is the Limited Edition 40th Anniversary Trefoil watch which celebrates four decades of its iconic Trefoil emblem.
With an attention grabbing 50mm dial face. This near discus sized timepiece is machined out of aluminum and features a polished gold plating. A numbered plaque and a commemorative back plate bear the exclusivity of each unit. And just in case anyone missed the reason behind this golden behemoth Adidas Originals stamped the dial face with the numerals “1972″ – the birth year of the Trefoil. With only 500 made, they’re going to be just as hard to get as Olympic gold medals.
So if you can’t get hold of the 40th Anniversary Trefoil Watch, there are several other cool adidas items to be seen in this summer.
adidas Medal Pack Collection
It’s a huge month for the world of sport, as the world turns its attention to the 2012 London Olympics. To celebrate, adidas Originals and Foot Locker are revealing the new ‘Medal Pack’ collection featuring a winning metallic combination of gold, silver and bronze.
Adidas Team GB
If you want to support Team GB, there are several ways to do it, including a vast range of Union Jack tee shirts and sports tops along with the ubiquitous adidas hoodie. But there are also wonderful adidas retro travel bags which the team will be using during travel, and some of the tee shirt designs get away from the frankly over used Union Jack imagery to look more than a little 70’s retro cool.
It’s going to be a sporting summer, and come rain or shine, adidas is going to be seen simply everywhere.
