Things are looking very much on the up for Research in Motion, the makers of BlackBerry. The iconic Canadian telecoms company has recently reported sales of one million units for their new smartphone the Z10.
This is in spite of the stiff competition that BlackBerry faces thanks to the number of different devices that have been launched onto the market from both Apple and Android phones.
With touch screen devices in demand, RIM has fought back with a vengeance in the mobile phone industry to record some success in the first quarter of this year.
The corporation had to respond in order to react to falling profits which nearly topped the US$1m mark in the first three months of 2013.
Yet since then they have managed to record excellent sales figures thanks to their new smartphone device. Various sources have revealed that total revenues peaked at a staggering $2.7 billion.
When it comes to the Z10, it also played a major part in the upturn amounting to one in every six mobile handsets purchased across the globe.

In spite of this positive news, the company’s revenues have fallen sharply, down from almost five billion dollars in the exact same quarter just twelve months ago.
The Z10 has been recognised by many industry experts as the key to open the gates for the future of this tech giant.
However, the phone has only been on sale for just over a month and is currently doing a roaring trade despite the fact that it was only launched in the US seven days ago.
According to CEO of BlackBerry Thorsten Heins, “With the launch of BlackBerry Z10, we have introduced the newest and what we believe to be the most innovative mobile computing platform in the market today. Customers love the device and the user experience, and our teams and partners are now focused on getting those devices into the hands of BlackBerry consumer and enterprise customers.”

So what’s so special about BlackBerry’s latest phone entry? It now features the latest 10 OS operating software which is more powerful than ever.
In addition to this, you can take advantage of their first ever touch screen user interface that is considered to be a standalone product for the company.
With their signature QWERTY keyboard, ideal for sending and receiving emails, this made BlackBerry one of the hottest selling phones across the world that business users lapped up.
However, their new offering aims to target a host of new users with its 4.2 inch Super AMOLED capacitative touchscreen display. Although slightly longer than the iPhone 5, it packs in a variety of functions.
This includes a nippy 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor that provides up to 2GB of Ram as well as 16GB of internal storage.
The screen is really an eye catcher which actually offers a higher level of density than the latest iPhone thanks to a 1280 x780 display. It also weighs in at less than 4.8 ounces which makes it one of the lightest devices around.
Meanwhile, talk time is impressive with around ten hours while you will be able to capture stunning HD video and take pictures via both the 2 megapixel front and 8 megapixel rear facing camera.
All in all, the new Z10 is a new way of working where multitasking is a streamlined dream and the old constraints of app menus and static homescreens are banished forever. Packed full of innovative features such as BlackBerry Hub and BlackBerry Peek, BlackBerry z10 rewrites the rulebook.
